A idéia inicial do CD foi desenvolver as possibilidades musicais da formação da banda com a qual Ná estava trabalhando nesta fase: dois violões, baixo e percussão, com os músicos Dante Ozzetti, Kiko Moura, Geraldinho Vieira e Caíto Marcondes. Inspirada nessa sonoridade, Ná compôs músicas que ganharam letras dos compositores Luiz Tatit, José Miguel Wisnik e Itamar Assumpção.

Além destas canções foram incluídas parcerias do Dante com Luiz Tatit e Zé Miguel e as canções “Capitu” (Luiz Tatit), “Outra Viagem” (Zé Miguel Wisnik) e “Princesa Encantada” (Cacique/Antonio Correia).

As canções “Outra Viagem” e “Princesa Encantada” fazem parte de um repertório antigo de Ná, a primeira apresentada em seus primeiros shows solo em 1985 e a segunda em uma temporada de shows ao lado da cantora Suzana Salles em 1986/87.

Com esta base de canções e suas possibilidades musicais, Dante compôs para os violões a estrutura dos arranjos que foram lapidados pela banda, nesse processo criativo.

Este trabalho foi gravado ao vivo no Estúdio Zabumba - São Paulo em dezembro de 1998 - e a partir deste registro, o Dante escreveu o complemento dos arranjos para violoncelo, viola e flauta, que foram gravados por Dimos Goudaroulis, Fábio Tagliaferri e Marta Ozzetti, respectivamente.

A voz de Ná e as participações especiais de Suzana Salles, Luiz Tatit e André Magalhães, foram adicionadas na última fase de gravação.

ESTOPIM foi mixado pelo Luis Paulo Serafim no Mosh Stúdios – SP e masterizado por Carlos Freitas na Cia de Áudio - SP, ambos parceiros em trabalhos anteriores.

O show de lançamento aconteceu em meados de 1999 no Teatro do Sesc Vila Mariana, em São Paulo com a participação dos músicos que gravaram o CD. A concepção de palco e o projeto de luz foram assinados por Joyce Drummond e o figurino por Caio da Rocha.

The initial idea for this CD was to develop the musical possibilities of the band‘ s formation with which Ná was working in this phase : two acoustic guitars, bass and percussion, all played by musicians like Dante Ozzetti, Kiko Moura, Geraldinho Vieira and Caito Marcondes. Inspired on this sonority, Ná composed songs that received letters of the composers Luiz Tatit, José Miguel Wisnik and Itamar Assumpção.

Beyond these songs, were included in the CD some partnerships songs of Dante with Luiz Tatit and Zé Miguel and the songs "Capitu" (Tatit Luiz), " Outra Viagem" (Zé Miguel Wisnik) and " Princesa Encantada" (Cacique/Antonio Correia).

The tracks “Outra Viagem” and “Princesa Encantada”, are part of an old repertoire of Ná, the first one presented in her first solo concerts in 1985 and the second in a season of concerts with the singer Suzana Salles in 1986/87.

With this set of songs and its possibilities, Dante composed for the acoustic guitars the structure of the arrangements that had been carefully worked by the band in this creative process.

This album was recorded live at the Zabumba Studio - São Paulo - in December of 1998. From this register, Dante wrote the complement of the arrangements for violoncello, viola and flute, that had been recorded by Dimos Goudaroulis, Fábio Tagliaferri and Marta Ozzetti, respectively.

ESTOPIM, was mixed by Luis Paulo Serafim at the Mosh Studio- SP and mastered by Carlos Freitas in the Cia de Audio – SP, both partners in earlier works.

The launching concert happened in middle of 1999 in the Teatro do Sesc Vila Mariana, in São Paulo with the participation of the musicians who had recorded the CD.  The conception of stage and the project of lightning had been signed by Joyce Drummond and the figurine by Caio da Rocha.

In 2005, ESTOPIM is relaunched by the MCD, and it brings in, suggestion of Ricardo Tacioli, the extra track "Batuqueiro" (Ná Ozzetti/Luiz Tatit) recorded at the time but not included originally in the CD.

GAL Oppido that conceived the photos and the art of the original project, also signs the new cover of the CD.

The CD was re-mastered by Carlos Freitas at the Classic Máster – SP.
